Typewritten and bound transcript of an interview conducted by Katuska Serrano for the LDS Hispanic American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 29 Aug. 1991. Vargas describes his early life of poverty in Michoacan, Mexico. He talks about his conversion to the Mormon Church and his migration to the United States. He also discusses his life as a Mormon in the United States. The interview was conducted in Spanish.
